Omigosh!

Chrno Crusade - the anime! I never thought I’d see the day when the relatively unheard-of manga would be turned into a series. The manga itself was bought by ADV manga. I don’t know weather I should be happy or disgusted by this; knowing ADV, barely 60 pages of the manga would costs over .

Anyway, the anime follows the manga fairly closely, except they skipped forward a little to the Joshua story arc. I don’t really mind as long as there’s plenty of molestably cute Chrno (somehow it’s pronounced ‘kurono’), I’m a satisfied viewer. Rosette’s costume is fairly similar to the RO priestess costume, which makes me want to work on both over the break. Then again, costuming was never something I enjoyed enough to do frequently.

Another anime that caught my eye was Peace Maker Kurogane. I haven’t seen any of it yet, but it’s got ninja in it.. and some samurai.. and ninja. I’ll download some episodes as soon as my beloved desktop, Blinkey, gets his new upgrade.

Last final is tomorrow – Art History~! I’d better get some last-minute cramming in. My knowledge of Byzantine and early Christian art is pretty small. ~_~

I will draw after finals! I swear!

So, on Friday, my brother, his friend, who is an avid katana collector, and I quietly position ourselves in the movie theatre and wait patiently through the mind-numbing previews to watch the one of our most anticipated movies of the year, The Last Samurai. We left around 3 hours later solemnly, eyes moist (at least mine were) with tears.

If you haven’t seen it already, please do; this is movie not to be missed. Nathan’s culture shock experience was for the most part amusing (Bob! Oh Bob!), but I can’t help but feel that some viewers will think that the movie is about him rather than Katsumoto, the real last samurai. On a random note, the scene where Taka dresses Nathan in her late husband’s armor was the most sensual thing I have ever seen, and there wasn’t even any sex involved (.. and you know you’ve seen too many French movies when sensuality and sexuality are definitions of one another)

The semester is finally reaching it’s last stretch, and with it come finals. Currently, I’m trying to cram the last of my Art History notes into my brain, then I shall try to reread the last chapters of my genetics book and look over old tests. I also have to record myself reading an article about Harry Potter for my French final. I don’t even know how to pronounce Harry Potter in French. >_<

Speaking of Harry Potter, I saw the trailer for the new Harry Potter movie coming out in June. It opens the first day of A-kon too. Now I have an excuse to wear my beloved Halloween costume again, as soon as I redo my shoddy robes – I’d hate to disappoint the entire Slytherin house with my pitiful sewing abilities.
